Press Council considers items on electronic journalism in new act
|
Khartoum-The chairman of the National council for press and publication Prof. Ali Shomo has revealed a trend to add items pertinent to the electronic journalism in the coming press act. He further said” we are in a world where the restrictions, distances and times are finished. We need to interact with this situation in a positive manner”
In the meantime, representative of the national and security service Zahir Mohamed said the organ is capable of controlling and blocking the electronic sites that distort the image of Sudan and undermine its national security. In response to the inability of the security service to block some electronic websites such as Hurriayt and Al-Rakoba, Zahir said” there are specialized bodies responsible for specifying what shall be blocked and what shall not, denying the inability of the security organ to block these websites.
