Police disperse demonstrators protesting lack of drinking water
|
Khartoum-The police have interfered to disperse a gathering of citizen in Mayo area in south of Khartoum after they blocked the main road protesting the lack of drinking water in the area. In a press release issued on Sunday, the police said that a citizen was suffocated and died later at the hospital. The legal measures under article 51 have been taken, according to the release. The police expressed sorrow over the death of citizen and urged the citizens to adopt peaceful means that do not harm or disturb citizens or obstruct their movements or activities.
