Parliament considers a decision to ban importation of seeds from abroad Khartoum-The parliamentary committee in charge of investigating into the wheat seeds issue has held the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural bank the responsible for the spoiled seeds, and decided to issue a parliamentary decision banning importation of any seeds from abroad. In a press conference at the premises of the national assembly yesterday, the head of the agriculratl panel, Mohamed Mahmoud said that various committees are investing the case, pointing out that any affected farmer will be compensated by the end of the season. H said that the panel did not try to criminalize ant body, however, it will continue following up with the farmers until the end of the season.
