Parliament: Rapid Support Forces have no mistakes
|
Khartoum-Head of the Security and Defense Panel in the Parliament, Malik Abdalla Hussein, has affirmed readiness of the armed forces and security service to put an end to the rebellion in the Nuba Mountains in this summer. Describing the Rapid Support Forces as patriotic, he warned against consequences of describing these forces as regional and calling it as the “Janjaweed”.
In a press statement, Hussein said that the second stage of the “Decisive Summer Operation” will defeat the rebels in the eastern and western mountains in South Kordofan besides North Darfur.
He renewed support to all peace steps, saying that” we are keen and hope that to reach peace through negotiation but we support the security and defense organs to defeat the rebels this year in case of reaching no agreement”.
He said that in coming stage, the security and defense forces should make remarkable results in defeating the rebels in the field, lauding the Rapid Support Forces.
He described as untrue what has been circulated about these forces, saying that they are national forces that act in accordance with the law and have no mistakes in the field. However, he added that” if there are mistakes, they would be individual behavior, and this can be addressed by the law”
