Parliament: Many Sudanese under custody in Arab countries

Khartoum-The foreign affairs committee in the parliament has revealed that big numbers of Sudanese nationals have been under arrest in many Arab countries in connection with criminal financial cases and failure to pay Diyat (blood money). The committee made a proposal to the government to contribute in paying the blood money to pave the way for the release of the detainees.

In press statements, head of the committee Mohamed Yousif stressed the necessity of finding urgent solutions to the issues of the arrested expatriates because they distort the image of Sudan.
