Over 3000 Gezira staff protest employment cancellation

Khaertoum-More than 3000 of the dismissed workers of Gezira and Al-Managel scheme are due to gather at Marinjan Gin in Wad-Medani city, the capital of Gezira state today to protest the non-payment of their financial dues.

The board of directors of Gezira scheme has earlier issued a decision cancelling employment of 3577 workers a step the dismissed staff considered as the real start for destroying the scheme.
