Over 250 Darfuri families cross borders into Chad
|
Khartoum-Over 250 families from Darfur have arrived in the Bahai area on the Sudan-Chad common border fleeing their areas in Ba’shem, Om-Sidir, Amray and Anka north east Kutum area in north Darfur state after the entry of Janjaweed militias known as the Rapid Support forces led by Mohamed Hamdan Himadti. The source said that the number of the Sudanese refugees exceeded 1000 families, stating that the families resorted to their relatives with some staying in the mosques that have no capacity for more people. He said Chad state has not made any effort to help those refugees.
