Oil Minister directs Oil Training Center to develop partnerships with Sudanese universities

05:24 PM May, 23 2016 Sudanese Online Sudan News Agency-Khartoum-Sudan My Library Short URL Khartoum, May 22 (SUNA) - The Minister of Oil and Gas Dr. Mohamed Zayid Awad has given directives to the Oil Training Center to establish partnerships with the Sudanese universities to link the scientific aspect with the practical action to create academic and scientific environment for the oil sector, especially in the area of research, laboratories, technical, engineering and management training to build the capacity of human resources as the oil sector is the most dynamic and influential one a matter that helps in future planning to take advantage of human resources available. This came when he honored the launch of a Book on Future Leaders issued by the Oil Training Center, authored by Dr. Mohamed Suleiman Hamza within the series of center publications. Dr. Awad praised the effort made by the author in the book, pointing out that this work is a book to look to the future through wise leadership, stressing that human resources are one of the pillars of the economic development in the country and through the leaders excellence and success will be achieved, calling for maintaining the training and rehabilitation process to reach outstanding performance. The minister considered this book as an addition to the Sudanese scientific library, lauding the efforts of the Vice Chancellor of Omdurman Islamic University Prof. Hassan Abbas Hassan for the book review. For his part, the Director General of the Oil Training Center Engineer Mohamed Hassan Al-Sanjak stressed that the Centre sought to provide training activities match the workers in the oil sector, adding that the center will offer training services in sophisticated methods and modern means including technical, engineering and technological programs, in addition to the English language for workers in the oil sector and external trainees. He said that the center has become a member of the International Union for the Organizations of Training and Human Development, pointing out that the launch of this book comes in the series of the center publications of books and references as well as the training sessions that have been implemented with a total 1600 programs in most specializations, from which benefited 24,553 trainees from the oil sector and other sectors in collaboration with 953 trainers of the national and foreign experiences, referring to the outstanding partnerships with the national experts in the periodic publications. For his part, the Vice Chancellor of Omdurman Islamic University Prof. Hassan Abbas Hassan appreciated the approach of the Oil Training Center in cooperation with the scientists and thinkers in the periodic publications, reminding with the importance of the knowledge in order to look to the future, which is the basis of the renaissance of peoples. He said that the people who do not have knowledge, they cannot get up in all aspects.
