Observers: Qatar seeks refuge for Muslim brotherhood in Sudan
|
Khartoum-The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani is due to arrive in Sudan in a visit described by observers as part of the Doha attempts to break the isolation on Qatar by some gulf countries due to the sooner policy supporting the Muslim brotherhood group in its fight against some countries. Informed sources said that the visit will be part of a wider tour to resist the isolation threats, saying that Qatar might offer financial support to the countries that face economic problems such as Sudan, Mauritania, Tunis and Algeria. The observers said that while the visit of the Qatari Emir to Jordan was aiming at have Jordon as a mediator in dispute with the Gulf States, they affirmed that the visit to Sudan has a completely different goal. The observers have meanwhile expected that Qatar is looking for refuge for the brotherhood elements that escaped from Egypt after they lost other destinations. Observers have also sis that the support of Sudan, which suffers from political and economic crises, to Qatar in this regard might draw anger from some gulf countries that still have a good relations with Sudan.
