Khartoum, July 3 (SUNA) - The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdul-Ghani Al-Naeem, received in his office Sunday the Ambassador of Brazil to Khartoum and discussed progress of the distinguished relations between the two countries and ways of cementing further the cooperation between them, especially in the investment and trade fields as well as boosting the exchange of visits between the investors and businessmen and enhancing work at the joint investment projects. The Brazilian Ambassador affirmed his keenness to continue contacts and coordination with the officials in the two countries for strengthening further the bilateral relations and cooperation in all domains. The ambassador has given a briefing on the joint investment projects between the private sectors in Sudan and Brazil and means of expanding them. He affirmed the keenness of his country to strengthen its economic relations with Sudan. The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry has briefed the Ambassador of Brazil on the important developments in Sudan in the political and economic fields, including progress of the national dialogue and the decree issued by the President of the Republic on ceasefire in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile areas which were welcomed by the international community. He also briefed the ambassador on the efforts being exerted by the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel to convince the armed movements to sign the roadmap document which was already signed by Sudan. The Undersecretary also informed Brazil Ambassador on the efforts of Sudan to support security and stability in the neighboring countries, especially Libya, Yemen and South Sudan.
