National council of child Welfare establishes committee to fight child marriage

Khartoum-The Secretary General of the national council for child welfare Amal Mahmoud has announced establishment of a national committee to support abandoning child marriage.

The committee was formed under the Presidency of the national council for child welfare, the woman enter for woman and child rights and memberships of ministries of health, guidance and endowments, finance, the Sudanese woman union, the woman parliamentary bloc, the national council for strategic planning and the civil society, she said.

She stated that the committee aims to map out national strategy and educational and awareness program to support abandoning child marriage in Sudan.
