Mbeki calls South Sudan to continue talks with Sudan to solve the pending issues peacefully Juba-The chairman of African Union High Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP), Thabo Mbeki, called on South Sudan’s president, Salva Kiir, to continue talks with Sudan’s president, Omer Al-Bashir, to solve the pending issues between the two countries peacefully In a meeting held between Kiir and Mbeki in the capital, Juba, close sources disclosed that the meeting dealt with the unresolved objectives between Khartoum and Juba, demarcation of borders between the two countries and Abyei issue, besides side the support of the rebels on each side After his meeting with Sudan’s president on Thursday, Mbeki stated that Khartoum and Juba have strong willingness to build good relationships taking into account the interest of their people, stressing that the two countries will normalize their relations and resolve the outstanding issues smoothly and efficiently.
