|
Khartoum-The government of Khartoum state has formed two work teams to handle the phenomena of begging and homelessness. In a meeting chaired by the governor of Khartoum state Abdelrahman Al-Khidir on Sunday, the higher committee for making Khartoum frees of begging and homelessness in 2014, decided to form two teams to implement handling and fighting the homelessness and begging phenomena.
The two teams are targeting around 5000 beggars and homeless. Al-Khidir made directives to classify the homeless and to prosecute and expel the foreigners and those who run networks of begging.
The two teams include specialists in the social work, human development, health besides police and foreign administration. The committee has affirmed that the foreign beggars pose the majority of the beggars despite the state’s efforts sending more than three batches back home.
