Gunmen on Tuesday killed three villagers, and wounded two others during an armed robbery in El Salam locality, South Darfur. On Wednesday, a passengers’ lorry was ambushed in the area of Abu Nabag, North Darfur.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga from El Himraya, a listener reported that late on Tuesday evening, a group ofandnbsp;Janjaweedandnbsp;on camels suddenly attacked the village.
“They entered a number of homes, and shot at the sleeping inhabitants. Three were killed instantly, and two others were injured. The assailants then stole their property, and fled.”
He strongly condemned the attack, and demanded from El Salam locality authorities to provide security, and arrest the murderers.andnbsp;andnbsp;
Ambush
Militiamen on camelback intercepted a passengers’ lorry, en route from El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, to Kabkabiya town.
“They emptied the lorry of all its goods, and loaded them on their camels”, one of the passengers informed Radio Dabanga.
“Theandnbsp;Janjaweedandnbsp;then decided to seize the vehicle too. They told the passengers to leave except a 19 year-old women, and the driver.”
