IGAD: South Sudan warring parties reach unconditional cease fire
|
Khartoum-The IGAD has announced that the two parties to the conflict in South Sudan have agreed to a cease fire agreement.
Upon two-day talks in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, the chief of the IGAD mediators, Seyom Mesfen, said on Saturday the two parties have shown commitment to unconditional cease fire, and to put an end to the conflict that has been taking place end of last year.
He told a press conference that IGAD will impose sanctions on the party that violates the agreement. He further the two parties are committed to unconditional, comprehensive and immediate cease fire for all military operations.
