Geologists: Sudan was home to first immigrants to Europe
|
Khartoum-Scientists said that there was a huge lake on the territories of contemporary Sudan, and it was a home of the first immigrants to Europe. The size of the lake was 45.000 square kilometer. The researcher said that the land adjacent to the lake was a very important center for the first African immigrants to Asia and Europe 1000 years ago. The geologists observed the remnants of the ancient lake, but failed to determine its age and the time where it disappeared even by radiocarbon. Two scientists have used other means to determine the age of the lake, and were able to suggest that the lake is 109.000 years old.
