Federal Umma Party did not rule out joining opposition
|
Khartoum-The Federal Umma Party did not rule out that his leader Dr. Ahmed Babiker Nahar would join the opposition ranks after his recent dispute with the National Congress after the split of the ministry of roads and bridges into two ministries. Dr. Nahar, who was leading the ministry of roads, maintained his post as the minister of oil alone.
The Secretary General of the Party Abdel-Hafiz Al-Sadeq has said they gave the national congress a one-week notice to reverse the decision, saying he did not rule out joining the opposition in case of failure to reach an agreement.
In the same context, Abdel-Hafiz has affirmed commitment to the national dialogue as exit to solve the problems of Sudan, affirming readiness for the coming elections. He denied any initiative to unify the Umma Party in the coming stage.
