December 26, 2014-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Ethiopian Prime Minister, Haile Mariam Dessalines, said that country supports the collective and immediate leave of the African States from the International Criminal Court (ICC)
During his meeting with Sudan's State Minister at Ministry of Information, Yasser Yousif, in Ethiopian capital on Thursday, Dessalines described ICC as a tool of oppression and not a tool of justice, pointing out that the court is not the appropriate body to practice justice in the world
for his part, Sudan's State Minister at Ministry of Information said that his meeting with the Ethiopian Prime Minister was constructive and fruitful, confirming the ability of the two countries to achieve integration, describing relations between the two countries as strategic, adding that Addis Ababa reiterated its position to support to Khartoum on regional and international issues.
Two weeks ago the ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda told the UN Security Council that she was discontinuing her investigations in Darfur because of a lack of initiative by the council.
In 2009, the ICC issued an arrest warrant against al-Bashir for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Sudan's Darfur region.
Khartoum then rejected the ICC decision and refused to refer any Sudanese official to the ICC.
