Egyptologist raises concerns over promotion of Sudan archeology by Qatar
|
Khartoum-The Egyptian scholar in field of Egyptology, Ahmd Saleh, has considered the Qatari offer to run the archeological sector in Sudan as an attempt to distract the attention of tourists away from the Egyptian tourism sector. He warned against the consequences of promoting Sudanese archeological by Qatar on thee Egyptian archeology. He referred to the similarities in the historical features of both archeological.
He said that Qatar has earmarked millions to run Sudanese archaeologies, stating that the fund will be invested in establishment of excavations, discovery of Sudanese archeological in the northern state and sup[port inauguration of archeological sites prepare them for visits.
It well known that the northern state in Sudan comprises different archeological sites on the banks of the Nile dates back to the Nubian civilizations.
