The Egyptian chargé d'affaires in Khartoum Wi’am Suwaylim criticized the policies Omar al-Bashir has adopted toward other countries.
“Omar al-Bashir cannot see any difference between the right and the wrong, turning a blind eye on the fact that Gulf countries view Sudan as a pray which does not have any chance of escaping from the clutches of the hunter,” Al Sharq Al Awsat quoted Suwaylim as cited by sarayapost.com. “Therefore, he signs numerous deals with these countries and receives money from them in exchange for the soil of Sudan.”
Suwaylim also accused Bashir of betraying his own nation and selling his country to the leaders of the Gulf states, and not caring for his neighbors which have “sympathy for the Sudanese people” and seek to help the Sudanese government overcome the domestic and international crises it faces.
He concluded his remarks by saying that Egypt is cooperating and will cooperate with the Sudanese government but the country expects that Sudan “distinguish between friends and foes.”
