A resident of Hai El Salam camp for the displaced in Kabkabiya, North Darfur, was abducted on Thursday. He was released again on Friday. Another man was seriously injured after being shot by thieves on Thursday.
“At about 5pm on Thursday, six government-backed militiamen in a Land Cruiser stormed the shop of Hai El Salam camp resident Adam Musa at the market of Kabkabiya town,” one of the sheikhs camp reported to Radio Dabanga. “They beat him, threw him into their vehicle , and took him to Sumta, located 4km north of Kabkabiya. He was released again on Friday.”
Ibrahim Adam Mohamed, from El Mawashi camp in Kabkabiya, was seriously injured after being shot by gunmen, a witness told Radio Dabanga. “Threeandnbsp;Janjaweedandnbsp;on motorcycles shot at Mohamed, as they wanted to steal his motorcycle. They hit him in the chest and shoulder. He was transferred to Kabkabyia hospital for treatment.
