Deputies in Parliament establish anti-corruption organization
|
Khartoum-Prominent parliament leaders have announced establishment anti-corruption organizations as part of the general trend of the state toward fighting corruption that has become as mafia in the state institutions.
Deputy of the Parliament for Bara constituency Mahdi Akrat told journalists on Wednesday that the organization (Parliamentarians against corruptions) comprises prominent leaders including the secretary general of the Islamic movement Al-Zubair Ahmed Al-Hassan, Ibrahim Tomsah, Abdelraouf Adam and a number of leaders.
He said that the organization will hold the first meeting next week, and will hold a meeting with the speaker of the Parliament Al-Fateh Izz-Eddin in this regard.
He said that they will fight corruption through” reactivating accountability committees at the parliament and the concerned bodies”.
He said that they will resign from the parliament if faced obstacle from the executive organ.
