Court to listen to last witnesses of Al-Khojalab demonstration case on Tuesday

Khartoum-Bahri criminal court listened in Tuesday’ session on the trial of Al-Khojalab demonstrators, who were arrested following last September protests, to three defense witnesses.
Member of the defense team lawyer Amal Al-Zain told the Citizen on Wednesday that the court has fixed next Tuesday as a date to continue hearing the rest defense witnesses who are considered as the last defense witnesses in the case.
The defense witnesses have affirmed before the court last week that the defendants have nothing to do with any acts of arson and plunder, and that they were against any act of arson or violation of law. The defense witnesses have also affirmed that they defendant participated in a peaceful demonstration against rise of prices and lifting of the oil subsidies.
