Cairo, Sept.123 (SUNA) - The recently concluded Meeting of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers has demanded the speeding up of the preparations for holding the Arab Conference on Reconstruction and Development of Sudan, calling for the reactivation of the mechanism which approved for the implementation of President Al-Basher Initiative concerning the Arab Food Security and supporting Arab investments in Sudan . Sudan Ambassador to Egypt and the Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador, Abdul Mahmud Abdul Halim told reporters that the ministers approved the necessity for the collective work between the League's Secretariat and the Government of Sudan to guarantee the holding of the conference and its success before the end of the year . He underlined that Sudan will extend invitations to the members of the Mechanism of the Food Security Initiative to hold a meeting in accordance with Oman Summit decision in this connection . Meanwhile, Ambassador, Abdul Mahmud has explained that the Arab ministers lauded the National Dialogue and called for the total revoking of the US sanctions imposed on Sudan and writing off of Sudan's debts. It's worth mentioning that Sudan's delegation to the meeting was chaired by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hammed Mumtaz .
