Coming period would witness further cooperation with Sudan: Chinese Envoy stresses
|
December 26, 2014-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Sudan’s President, Omar al-Bashir, discussed with China’s special envoy to Africa, Zhong Jianhua, the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing, in addition to the situation in the region and a number of regional and international issues of common concern. In a press statement after his meeting with al-Bashir on Thursday, Chinese Envoy stated that his country is looking forward to further cooperation with Sudan in the political, economic and security areas, especially since the two countries have excellent relations and there is a strong consensus between the leaderships of the two countries in regional and international forums. The Chinese official disclosed that the meeting dealt with issues of peace and security in the region, particularly in South Sudan, adding that his country supports the efforts exerted by Sudan to strengthen African peace and security and South Sudan He added that he had listened to Sudan’s president on a number of proposals about issues of the African region in the political and security aspects, revealing that the coming period would witness further cooperation with Sudan in many aspects of interest to the two countries at the bilateral, regional and global levels.
