Khartoum, Feb.19 (SUNA)-The Chief of Joint Staff, Lt. Gen. Emad-Eddin Mustafa Adawi met in his office, Sunday, with Representative of the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations, Michael Kingsley who is visiting the country these days to stand on expiry of mandate of the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) and the situations at the area in order to forward proposals about it.
Lt. Gen. Adawi asserted continuation of cooperation with UNISFA within framework of its mandate, referring to understandings relevant to agreement beween Sudan and State of South Sudan on Abyei and borders between the two countries.
Kingsley, on his part, expressed appreciation over assistance provided by the Government of Sudan and the Armed Forces that helped UNISFA carry out its task. SA/SA
