Advance Delegation for Visit of Salva Kiir Arrived on Sunday

Khartoum, Sept. 1 (SUNA) - The advance delegation of South Sudan State for the visit of President Salva Kiir, who is scheduled to beging a visit on Tuesday, arrived in Khartoum on Sunday, headed by the Undersecretary of South Sudan Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Charles Menyang. The President of South Sudan will visit Khartoum on the invitation of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir. The Foreign Ministry indicated that President Salva Kiir will be accompanied by a high-level delegation which includes the Foreign Minister, the Security Minister, the Minister of Oil, Minerals and Industry along with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Trade and Investment and a number of businessmen and officials. The talks between the two sides will include ways to push ahead the bilateral relations between Sudan and South Sudan, implementation of the cooperation agreements which were signed last year between the two countries in all fields as well as means for boosting the economic relations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the important visit, hoping that it will contribute to speeding up implementation of the cooperation agreements between Sudan and South Sudan and solving the pending issues toward establishing a firm strategic relation for the interest of the two sister nations and all the peoples at the region.
