Addis Ababa, Aug. 10 (SUNA) - Chairman of the Future Forces for Change, Dr. Ghazi Salahuddin, has described the opposition's signing of the roadmap document as a step forward by agreement of all people. In a press statement in Addis Ababa Wednesday, Dr. Salahuddin said that the roadmap's signing has opened the door for negotiating about thorny issues, a matter which necessitates the commitment to the stoppage of war and realization of peace country-wide by the end of the dialogue. He stressed the importance of the parties' adherence to the strong will and the capability to achieve new solutions, indicating that the solutions will be realized as long as the talks are continuing. Dr. Salahuddin has pointed to the close link between the political and security tracks of the negotiations, stressing that reaching a breakthrough in the security track will pave the way for progress in the political dialogue despite its thorny issues. He called for speeding up the agreement in the security track toward reaching success in the political track of negotiations. He called for benefiting from the remaining period of four or five month in the term of the current US administration of President Obama for enhancing the security and political agreement issue. He said the parties shall be aware that the delay in reaching agreement will further complicate problems and impede achievement of solutions.
