190 foreign organizations demand to monitor the elections: Sudan’s electoral body

The head of Sudan’s National Elections Commission (NEC), Dr. Mukhtar Al-Asam, has revealed that that 190 foreign organizations has made requests for the monitoring of the elections including organizations from China, South Africa, Brazil and France, pointing out that his commission has agreed on 31 requests to participate in the international control of all stages of the elections to be started on Monday. He said in press statements on Friday that they have over 230 local and global organizations to observe the elections. (NEC) revealed on Thursday that it has formed a room in Khartoum International Airport to welcome the delegations of observers and facilitate their entry, pointing out that many of them have already arrived in Khartoum. The Commission said that the most important States that would participate in monitoring of the elections are Russia, China, Brazil, Turkey, Nigeria, Djibouti, Mozambique, among organizations, together with the African Union, Arab League, the Iraqi Parliament and others Most major opposition political parties are boycotting Monday’s presidential election because they say it will not be free and fair. Only 15 lesser-known parties, some say the creation of the government, are challenging Bashir.
