Sudan’s government and rebel SPLM-N resume talks amid presence of the political forces leaders

Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Chairman of the African Union High-Level Panel (AUHLP) Thabo Mbeki called to a new round of negotiations on the Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile states between Sudan’s Government and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) which will begin today, Wednesday in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia. According to sources told Khartoum-based Al-Rai Al-A’am newspaper that round will be limited to the head of Sudan’s delegations, Ibrahim Ghandour and the Secretary-General, Yasser Arman, in addition to three persons from each delegation. Negotiations headquarters in Addis Ababa was witnessed presence of Sudanese opposition leaders, including arrival of Sudan’s Communist Party, Mohamed Mukhtar El-Khatib, the head of the Sudan's opposition umbrella known as the National Consensus Forces (NCF), Farouk Abu Issa, the head of Sudan Congress Party, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, the chairman Unified Unionist Party , Yusuf Mohamed Zain, deputy chairman of National Umma Party(NUP), Mariam Al-Sadiq al-Mahdi, while NUP leader, Al-Sadiq al-Mahdi is expected to arrive on Friday.
