Addis Ababa talks between Sudanese government and Darfur rebels begins

Khartoum-The official talks between the Sudanese government delegation and the
delegations of Justice and Equality Movement and Sudan Liberation
Movement- Minawi factions started in Addis Ababa on Sunday under the
auspices of the high level African mechanism chaired by Thabo Mbeki.
Addressing the inaugural session, Mbeki said Sunday meeting is a
framework through which the African Union aims at stopping the dispute
in all parts of Sudan including the two areas ( South Kordofan and
Blue Nile in two different tracks with one goal, pointing out that the
entire world has welcomed the dialogue initiative of President
Al-Bashir with due attention.
He cited that the rebel movements have affirmed the importance of
reaching a comprehensive solution to all issues of Sudan through an
all inclusive dialogue.
