Sudan: UNAMID did not respect agreement with foreign ministry
|
Khartoum-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that the African Union-United Nations joint mission in Darfur has reneged on its agreement with the ministry on the visit of Tabit village in North Darfur, and started moving to the area based on the state consent without returning to the foreign ministry as agreed. In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Yousif Al-Kordofani, the government of Sudan has decided not allow the mission to the visit to the village again. Ambassador Al-Kordofani has meanwhile said that Sudan will continue cooperating with the UNAMID in accordance with the legal frameworks that have been agreed upon.
