Sudan’s opposition parties boycott the election and vow to bring down the regime

Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-The National Consensus Forces (NCF), an alliance of Sudanese opposition parties, has announced its boycott of the upcoming elections and stuck to its firm position to overthrow the National Congress Party (NCP) regime through peaceful
In press release it issued on Tuesday, NCF said that it will start announcing of its boycott for the elections as a battle to impose further isolation on the NCP, describing the next elections as “illegal”
The alliance added that any election without completion of the process of genuine democratic transition and develop a full transitional position led by transitional national authority will ignite the conflict in the country severely.
NCF emphasized that if the election is a democratic process which conducted in a political climate marked by harmony, peace and freedom, the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) would have not managed to exploit State resources, and capabilities of people, and worked to justify its survival in power through authoritarian individual procedures.
Al-Bashir pledged in January to redraw the constitution, bring opposition parties into government, and launch a national dialogue, but no visible progress has been made.
The few active opposition movements in Sudan are already losing hope of any change while an economic crisis that has worsened since the secession of the oil-rich south in 2011 has angered struggling citizens.
