Some groups try to block the implementation of security arrangements: Darfur rebel movement

    Khartoum-SudaneseOnline- The chairman of Darfur Regional Authority ,head of the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM), Dr. el-Al-Tijani El-Sissi, has directed organizations of his movement to begin making arrangements to launch the security private arrangements process for the movement by late November.
    The LJM spokesman, Ahmed Fadul, said that the slow of the progress of the implementation of the security arrangements due to administrative and financial reasons not to delay by dragging by the movement’s leadership, pointing out that there is an unknown group named itself the military leaders trying to disrupt the implementation of the security arrangements and prevent progress forward.
    He confirmed that El-Sissi is the Commander-in-Chief of the forces, and was selected by the armed factions under his control, adding that the military leaders are trying to appear via media in the name of the movement, stressing their adherence to the peace agreement signed between them and the Government and implement all of its terms on the ground in order to serve the interest of Darfur people
    Prior to heading the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM), El-Sissi, was a member of the Umma Party of Sadiq Al-Mahdi. El-Sissi has also been a professor at the Khartoum University and has lived outside of Sudan for 20 years. He has been a state minister and a Darfur governor during the democratic government of Al-Mahdi between 1986 and 1989.
    El-Sissi spearheaded the formation of the LJM in February 2010 from various splinter groups and smaller opposition movements. Since its formation, the LJM has been instrumental in seeing through the Doha Peace Agreement. It was the only group that worked alongside the Sudanese government in the Darfur Peace Process.
    El-Sissi was appointed as the president of the Darfur Regional Authority on September 20. Since his return to Darfur, El-Sissi has been met with criticism from the people of Darfur.
