Baderin expresses concern over human rights situations n Sudan
|
Khartoum-The UN Independent Expert on human rights situations in Sudan, Mashood Baderin, has described the aerial strikes on hospitals and civil institutions in the two areas as violation to the laws.
Revealing rejection of a request to meet the detainees by the security service, Baderin expressed concern over human rights situations in Sudan, urging the independent expert to amend the criminal law. He affirmed continuity of security surveillance and confiscation of newspapers..
In a press conference he held at the conclusion of his fifth visit to Sudan yesterday, Baderin said that the human rights violations remained the same since his last visit to Sudan last February.
He stressed the necessity of press freedoms as a base and means for solving Sudan problems, urging the government to create positive atmosphere for making the dialogue called for by President Al-Bashir successful.
