Al-Bashir receives written message from Kiir
|
Khartoum-The President of the Republic Omer Al-Bashir received yesterday a written message from President of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit dealing with the bilateral relations and pushing ahead aspects of joint cooperation between Khartoum and Juba.
The Minister of Interior in South Sudan state Aleu Ayieny Aleu handed over the message at the Guest House yesterday in the presence of the Sudanese Interior Minister Abdel-Wahid Yousif. Speaking to SUNA, the Aleu said he conducted during his visit to the country discussions with the ministers of defense and interior. He said the discussions stressed the importance of implementing the joint cooperation agreement between the two countries.
He affirmed readiness of his country to go ahead with the implementation of the 9 signed agreements, especially the file pertinent to the ministries of interior in the two countries that include the four freedoms protocol and the borders’ crossings that will facilitate the movement of trade between the two countries.
He stated that he felt strong desire form the Sudanese side to implement these agreements, adding that” I am confident that the relations of the two countries will move forward and will be based on confident and transparency”
He said that the relationship between the two countries is a relation of one people despite the secession of the South, calling for the implementation of these agreements.
With regard to the truce between the parties to the dispute in South Sudan, Aleu affirmed commitment of his country to the true despite the violations, saying that the rebels in the South have divided into groups a matter that contributed in complicating the process of transfer to sustainable peace.
