Government pledges to remove obstacles before press
|
Khartoum-The government of Sudan has announced commitment to remove obstacles of press work in Sudan. The assistant to the president Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour has affirmed commitment of the state to provide the favorable atmosphere for press work and freedom, stressing the necessity of professionalism and responsibility to reach a responsible press practice.
Speaking to w workshop on the media issues, Prof. Ghandour has admitted several obstacles facing the publishers in terms of the cost of printing and its products.
He affirmed that the application of law is a key in the journalism practice, saying that training of journalists is necessity for strengthening the role of journalism.
Ghandour has stressed the necessity of combing professionalism and responsibility toward reaching a responsible journalism practice, urging journalists to commit to professionalism.
Ghandour has pledged to remove the entire obstacles before the press in Sudan, affirming the state’s commitment to implement the recommendations of the media workshop.
