Court to consider case against compensation committee of gulf war affected persons
|
Khartoum-The district court of Al-Imtidad is due to consider on Wednesday a case against the compensation committee for the second gulf war -affected persons. The Citizen learnt that citizen Mohamed Merghani Mohamed has raised a legal as against the committee demanding an amount of 88 thousand dollars.
It is to be recalled that the compensation committee was established in accordance with decision 9 for 1992, and was presided over by Amal Al-Baili. The war-affected persons were given compensations; however, they believe that they still have some dues at the committee which, as they say, refused to tell them on the amount of money that was allocated for them.
The UN rejected to interfere in the matter as a domestic issue between the Sudanese government and its citizens.
