Army criticizes absence of police and administrative organs in liberated areas
|
Khartoum-The Ministry of Defense has complained from the absence of the administrative organs in the states and described it as a major obstacle before its work after liberation of any area. The Ministry of Defense said” We are ploughing the sand”. The ministry has criticized doing jobs which are part of the police duties a matter that influences its performance in some border areas. The Minister of Defense denounced the absence of the administrative officer in the states, especially in the areas that have been liberated, stressing the necessity of the follow up with the armed forces by the officials in the state. The minister has criticized assigning the army with police work. He said that this influences the performance of the armed forces in the border areas. Speaking to the Parliament on Monday, the minister of Defense urged the parliament to help him handle the issue of those who exceeded the retirement age and the reluctance of the people to join the army due to the poor salaries. He said that the South Sudan still harbors and supports the rebel, saying that the disengagement of the two Division has not been made yet. He considered it as an obstacle before the armed forces. He said that the ministry of finance did not pay the dues of the military industrial corporation. He said that sometimes we take ammunition and weapons from it but the finance ministry pays a very small amount of money a matter that constitutes a problem for us.
