Humanitarian pledging conference for South Sudan to begin tomorrow
|
Khartoum-The sessions of the humanitarian pledging conference for South Sudan will start in Oslo, Norway on Tuesday. The conference, which is organized in cooperation with the UN office for humanitarian affairs, is expected to come out with economic solutions to face the humanitarian situations in South Sudan upon the eruption of the fighting in South Sudan last September. The Sudanese Foreign minister, Ali Karti, for Oslo to participate in the conference. The ambassador of Norway in Khartoum has said, in his speech during the National Day of Norway in Khartoum that the constitution of his country affirms the rule of law respects and recognizes the rights of individuals and tolerance culture. The ambassador called for supporting the basic political and social rights especially the rights of expression, religion, assembly and establishment of societies. He further welcomed the dialogue called for by President Al-Bashir, saying that h hopes that dialogue will put an end to the crises in Sudan. He said that dialogue need serious will, real concession by the government and persuading others on dialogue. He called on the armed movements to negotiate for solving the political differences. On his part, the minister of Finance Badr-Eddin Mahmoud said in his speech at the embassy that Sudan is looking forward that the international community would play a positive role in building the states of Sudan and South Sudan.
