Revolutionary Front and Unionist Movement call for peace and democracy
|
Khartoum-The revolutionary front and the unionist movement have affirmed that their stances on the national constitutional dialogue are identical, saying that the dialogue called for by President Al-Bashir does not make sense without democracy and peace. They have called for measures to pave the climate and build confidence.
They said that these measures shall include stooping war in Blue Nile and Darfur, allowing freedoms, finding independent mechanism to supervise national constitution dialogue with the equal participation of civil society organizations and political powers in the dialogue.
In a statement signed by Malik Agar and Sideq Al-Hindi on Monday, the two sides have said that the current escalations of war and attacks on freedoms necessitate recognition of the deep political crisis in the country by the National Congress party, and commencement of a constitutional and political process to be accepted by the Sudanese people.
