SPLM-North: government displaced more than 20. Thousand citizens in Kadugli

Khartoum-The SPLM-North has accused the government of launching land and aerial offensive on Abri areas in Dalami locality in eastern Kadugli a matter that displaced around 20 thousand citizen and destroyed all requirements of life in the area such as water wells. The spokesman of the SPLM-North delegation Mubarak Ardol has in a press release on Tuesday that while the two delegations are negotiating in Addis Ababa to find a solution to the humanitarian crisis in the two areas and sop the suffering of the civilian people, “the regime of Khartoum has made ground offensive with the support of the Rapid Support Forces, and with aerial support”. Ardol said that these forces have displaced more than 70. Thousand citizen and burned tens of villages in Rashad area in the Nuba mountain two months and more than 230 in Darfur. The SPLM-North urged the local and international civil society organizations to denounce these acts which are carried out by the” government militias”. In a relevant context, The Sudanese army, on Tuesday, announced recapture of Abri town, the stronghold of the SPLM-North rebels in the series of Al-kwalib Mountains in central Nuba Mountains in South Kordofan, as part of the decisive summer operation to eradicate the rebels.
