A woman of Sibak Al Khel camp for the displaced in Kabkabiya locality, North Darfur, was injured when she was shot by militiamen on Monday. In the vicinity of Kabakabiya, a commercial Land Cruiser was hijacked on Saturday.
“Three militiamen stormed Fatima Ali’s shelter in the camp on Monday. They fired at her, hitting her right hand. She was immediately transferred to a hospital in Kabkabiya town, to avoid her bleeding to death,” a Sibak Al Khel camp resident told Radio Dabanga.
Robbery
In the vicinity of Kabakabiya, a commercial Land Cruiser was hijacked on Saturday. The passengers’ vehicle was on its way from Nyala, the capital of South Darfur, to Kabkabiya. “Militiamen ambushed the Land Cruiser and ordered us to leave the vehicle. They robbed us of all our belongings, then took the vehicle, and fled,” one of the passengers reported to Radio Dabanga.
