Opposition outlines problems in Sudan, says current year is decisive
|
Khartoum-The Sudanese opposition succeeded on Friday and Saturday to mobilize people in political symposiums in Shambat and Omdurman. The rise in the temperature and the difficulty in the public transport did not stop people from attending the symposiums. The participants, who were thirst for political symposiums due to the government repressive policy, met the speeches with cheers and hands clapping. The symposium of the opposition have sent two message to the government as follows; full rejection to the dialogue called for by President Al-Bashir without cancellation of the freedom restricting laws, release of the political detainees and condemned, cessation of war in Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan and delivery of humanitarian aid. The second message represented in the case of the martyrs and wounded people during September demonstrations as the authorities was reluctant in filing cases with regard to the killing of the demonstrators. The second message was the opposition speech on economic situations. The opposition attributed the tough and difficult economic situation to the corruption of the ruling party and to expenditure on war. The fourth message from the opposition was the statement by Sati Al-Haj that the alliance did not backtrack on his stance bringing down the regime, saying that” dialogue dies mean end of accountability for the crimes committed since the Salvation coup in 1989”. He said that the current year will be decisive, and the matter of bringing down the regime will not be long. The last message was in the strong speech said by member of the central committee of the Communist Party Amal Jabralla which said that the appearance of women in the public symposium is a defeat for the civilized project that aimed to make Sudanese women confined to their houses. She called for cancelling the law restricting freedoms including the security, press and trade union laws.
