Sudanese student in India faces issues of drugs and underage marriage
|
Khartoum-from Alsudan newpaper-The Sudanese Embassy in New Delhi has admitted that Sudanese students in India face issues of illegal staying, drugs and minors’ marriage.
The Sudanese Consul in India Mosa Sayed told l-Sudani newspaper that they expect that a few of Sudanese Students are recruited by the Indian authorities after receiving information that a Sudanese student is dealing with the indian authorities and is offering The Consul urged the families of the students, especially those who live in the gulf states to prepare their sons very well especially in terms of life experience and English langue so that they can able to overcome the difficulties they face. As an official in the embassy revealed that the rate of the drug consuming students is high, the consul said it does not exceed 15% or 20% of the total number of the students ( 8000). He said that a number of Sudanese persons, who wished to marry Indian girls, have fallen prey to fraud networks which report the marriage to the police under the pretext that the girl is a minor after they took the money from the husband.
