Ministers of Finance and Oil in China to discuss oil production
|
Khartoum-The Minister of Oil Makkawi Mohamed Awad, minister of Finance and National Economy Badr-Eddin Mahmoud met, on Tuesday, with the chairman of the China National Petroleum Company. The Sudanese ambassador to Beijing Omer Issa, who was present at the meeting, said that the two sides discussed aspects of joint cooperation and means of pushing it further, especial with regard to the increasing of oil production and the capacity of the Khartoum refinery. In a statement to SMC, ambassador Issa said that the two sides have affirmed the necessity of developing and expanding the strategic cooperation between the two countries as a model to be followed in this regard between China and the developing countries. The meeting has also reviewed the implementation of the signed agreements between the two countries, the ambassador stated. In the meantime, the two ministers continue as they are scheduled to meet with the Chinese Trade Minister, the leaders of the Chinese Export and Export Bank ( Exim bank) and the Chinese Development Bank The visit will also include meetings with officials in the Chinese communist party, leaders of the State Energy Committee and leaders of the companies with commercial projects in Sudan. They will also attend meetings of board of directors of Khartoum Refinery company and Khartoum company for petrochemicals.
