Armed group opens fire at Khartoum University, kills student
|
Khartoum-The Sudanese committee for solidarity with families of martyrs, wounded and detainees has affirmed killing of student Ali Abu-Bakr Musa Idris after police opened fire on peaceful civilian students at Khartoum university. The committee has announced the security organs have launched wide detention campaign among Darfur students. Head of the committee Sideq Yousif has said that a group wearing civilian dresses entered Khartoum university campus after a public discussion on the developments of the situations in Darfur. He added that the group was carrying heavy and light firearms, sticks and batons. They group fired teargas and live bullets. He referred to information that a number of male and female students were injured in the incidents. He stressed the importance of making urgent measures to know the repercussion of the use of the live ammunition at the university campus, and to bring those involved to justice.
