Sudan’s NCP: No Saudi or UAE decision to stop financial transaction with Khartoum
|
Khartoum-The leader in the National Congress Party Dr. Rabie Abdel-Ati has ruled out that Khartoum has received official decision on stopping of financial transaction with the Sudanese banks by Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates banks. He added that the stoppage of the transactions of some Saudi Arabia and UAE banks with the Central bank in Sudan is of technical and procedural nature not as a result to the political decision. Dr. Abdel-Ati told Al-Qud Press that the Sudan relationship with the rest Arab countries is normal and that there is no reason for such measures. He denied US pressures on any Arab countries to isolate Sudan, pointing out that the US stance that besieges Sudan and imposes sanction on it has not been changed. .
He added that” But we do not see any pressures from the friendly countries against Sudan, and we do not accuse anybody of yielding to the American pressures".
Well-informed Sudanese sources told Al-Quds Press that some Saudi Arabia and UAE banks have officially stopped money transfer from and to Sudan, and described the move as coming in the context of implementation of a US recommendation that linked continuity of money transfer with the progress of dialogue and peace with South Sudan state.
