Sudanese refugee dies of neglect in Cairo
|
Sudanese refugee dies of neglect in Cairo Cairo-The Sudanese refugee Abdalla Abakar Sulieman escaped from Darfur to Egypt in 1992. Abdalla, 55, who was a Karate coach, lived in Ain shams and went to UNHCR in 1996 and got the green card number 55596 suffered from tuberculosis and heart diseases. After the deterioration of his health, his colleague Ibrahim Ahmed transferred him to Hai Bakri hospital but unfortunately he did not find the medical attention from the medical center of the UN. Therefore, in few time, he passed away. He was buried in the Sudanese cemetery at Nasr City Cemetery without any move by the UNHCR or the Khartoum embassy in Cairo or any other human rights organizations.
Accordingly, we call on the honest international human rights organizations to move quickly to rescue the lives of the Sudanese refugees in cairo from the slow death they face.
