Prosecution session of defendant in killing of Dr. Sara Abdel-Baghi postponed.
Khartoum-The court of Al-Doroshab North has held a session chaired by Judge Mohamed Sidiq to prosecute the person accused of killing Dr. Sara Abdel-Baghi Al-Khidir during the riots in Khartoum state last September.
The court has postponed the session to allow enough time for the follow up and investigation committee to respond to the court requests in this regard. The plaintiff body has requested to accuse the officer at Al-Doroshab Police station who armed the defendant as a second defendant for illegally arming a person who is not police officer. The plaintiff asked to lift the immunity of the police offer, saying that this demand is based on legal reasoning.
